Building In Front of Camp Gate Camp 1

  • Cabin Accomodations: Cabin 11 is reserved for plot members. Cabin 14 is reserved for modules/NPC overflow. Cabins 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18 are available for players on a first come, first served basis. All cabins have at least 1 power outlet, electric lights, and wooden bed platforms that are useable for small airmatresses or sleeping bags. No cushions are provided.

  • Camp Boundaries: The map does not show elevation or wooded areas. Players may use all of the Unit 1 area which includes the road coming down from the rec hall, the outside of the sealed abandoned building on the road, the limited woods to the north of the cabins, the path following the electric/telephone lines heading east of the cabins, and the path that circles around in the woods to the South of the cabins. Additionally we may use cabins for modules that are not in use by other rental groups at the nearby Group Camp 3. We will not use these cabins if another LARP is using Camp 3.
  • Cell Phone Service: Low, there is limited service from the parking area and main paths.
  • Distance From Services: Raccoon Creek State Park has little convenience food or other services. It is highly suggest to do a majority of your shopping before traveling to site or stopping in high retail areas such as Robinson or Weirton.

Driving Directions to Raccoon Creek State Park

Most individuals will take Route 22 / Route 30 towards the park. From there, merge onto Route 18 N heading towards Florence. Look for the signs marking Raccoon Creek State Park and the Office. You will make a left turn on to Cabin Rd. Pass the office and dumpsters on your right. Follow any and all signs directing you to Group Camp 1. This will mainly be left hand turns. When you reach the rec hall, you will see a large outdoor fireplace and a wooden lodge with a leaf on the door. Group camp 1 is behind these buildings following a gravel path to the left.

Arriving at Camp 1

First, check with staff to let them know you are on site. They will give out any site warnings and any cabins that are currently off limits. Following this, feel free to choose a cabin to drop your belongings off as well as depositing any food items in the Gathering Hall/ Unit Lodge. Once all items are on site, please move vehciles to the parking area and prepare for game. If there are any additional questions, feel free to check with staff.
